I decided to postpone my MCQ exam, can I attend the next MCQ Prep Course offered by PharmaSpirit?
For those who decide to postpone the exam, PharmaSpirit can extend your online access to the videos once , at no cost, within one year of registration. However you will need to notify us as soon as possible. If you would like to re-attend the MCQ lectures the next time the prep course is offered than we offer a one time 50% discount of the course fee, within one year of registration. The extension fee is $849.50+tax. The fee does not include updated materials. This offer is not valid to those who take the retake course.
Does PharmaSpirit offer discounts?
Yes, we offer a wide variety of discounts. For the OSCE Prep Course, if you have taken the MCQ Prep course with us, then you will receive $100 off the OSCE Prep Coure fee. The same applies to our OSCE participants who wish to register to the MCQ course. Discounts can only be obtained at the time of registration. We also offer a 50% off for those who wish to extend their MCQ registration. This offer s valid within one year of your MCQ registration. When is the course offered?
Our course is offered twice a year, once in January and once in July. Most of our classes are held on the weekend, however, sometimes we may need to hold classes during the week. PharmaSpirit tries to accommodate all its student’s schedule. We know it’s tough to please everyone, but that does not mean we don’t try. Students can contact their instructor at any time, via email, with any questions and concerns they may have.
Is there a registration deadline?
As long as there is available space in the program, students are welcomed to register up until the course start date. Enrollment is based on a first-come-first serve basis.
The MCQ prep course begins before my evaluating exam results are out, how can I take the course if I pass my EE?
We have a special offer for those waiting for their evaluating results. If you pre-register to the course, you can attend the classes for free until your passing results. Once you pre-register, we will email you details on how to attend. Payment for the course is made once you receive your passing results. Pre-registration is required for this offer.
What happens after the application has gone through and my fees are paid?
Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive an receipt by email. Please hold on to this receipt. Also, you will have access to the online materials available to you on the PharmaSpirit website, using the PharmaSpirit username and password that you created at the time of registration. In addition, your course instructor will be in touch with you via email to introduce him/herself to you, provide you with more details about the course, such as a study schedule and details about shipment of the books. Once you receive your materials you are welcome to begin the readings immediately.
Can I register to the MCQ course early to begin studying early?
We are aware the many of you would like to start studying early and that time is precious for you, therefore you can register to the MCQ prep course and obtain materials early (1 management and 3 therapeutics and over 120 videos).
Will I need the updated materials?
You will not always need the updated materials. Sometimes the books might have many updates and other times updates might not be too much. You can discuss this with the course instructor once the classes begin.
How do I apply?
Go to https://www.pharmaspirit.com/mcq-prep-course-registration/ and choose your method. You have 2 options: 1) to pay by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Please make cheques payable to PharmaSpirit Consulting Inc. and have it mail to our address at 5800 Ambler Dr. suite 210, Mississauga, ON L4W 4J4. What do I do if I miss classes?
PharmaSpirit does not offer make up classes, but what we do offer is a guarantee that the instructor will be available to answer any question the student has in order to ensure that the student understands the material he/she has already read. This is not a repeat of the class, but only a question/answer period.
What if I fail the MCQ exam, do you have offer a free re-take course?
Yes. If, after you take our course, you fail the MCQ exam, PharmaSpirit offers you one free re-take course, within one year of registration. You will attend all the lectures online and have access to the online material. You will NOT, however, receive the updated materials for the new course. New materials can be purchased.
What is the refund policy?
Once you receive the MCQ materials, the fee is non-refundable. You do have the option to postpone your attendance to the next course session. For example, if you register for MCQ January session and cannot make it, you may carry over your fee to the MCQ August session. For our OSCE prep course, OSCE mock exam and OSCE Drop In sessions there is no refund
Is there any homework?
Students will be expected to complete pre-readings, as outlined in the schedule. Once you register, your instructor will email each student with a course outline that they are expected to follow. Finishing the required work will help you develop the skills you need to pass the qualifying exam with confidence.
Do you have question bank?
The questions are knitted in the materials. We also offer a practice question portal with a small number of practice questions. We are constantly adding more questions. The questions are created to trigger critical thinking and assess application of knowledge using exam-like questions. Access to the practice question is granted at the end of the course.
Will I have enough time to get ready for exam?
Yes, if you 1- Review the lecture quickly before the session 2- Review your lecture notes after the completion of each topic 3- Do not postpone one week’s work to the next.
If I attend the live sessions, can I switch to the online at any time?
A few designated online spots are available for emergency situations, such as whether or unforeseen circumstances. Sometimes these designated spots fill up, so we cannot always guarantee them.
